LOMAC TILES AT MONART HOTEL

Lomac Tiles Stone Division supplied all the natural stone for the luxurious Monart Destination Spa in Wexford which has been voted one of the top ten luxury destinations by Forbes magazine and one of the top fifty five spas world wide according to Conde Nast.

This leading Irish tile company worked along side Stephen Carr Architects (SCA) to ensure only the highest quality products were specified, in keeping with such a prestigious development.  Paul Farrell, Lomac Tiles said the company had been proud to be involved in the creation of such a master piece of design and build.  Paul explained  'Monart was seeking to create an atmosphere of peaceful harmony and we took this into consideration when submitting products for selection by the architects.  Coliseum Marina Stone (from the famous TIVOLI quarries of Italy) filled and honed was used throughout the project in various prominent locations, including 85 bespoke vanity tops in all bedroom ensuites and restrooms. On the shower floors Stephen chose patinato stone mosaic which coordinated beautifully with the Coliseum Stone and allowed for the dished shape of the floors. Venato Vulcano Gris Porcelain in various surface finishes adorns the Spa treatment rooms on both the walls and floors with bespoke Vanity tops to match.  Pre polished porcelain features on the floors in the bar area.   Bisazza le Gemma mosaic with gold insets, always the jewel in the crown in the world of tiling, creates a stunning effect on the wall in the restaurant.'

A full on site technical support schedule was in place from day one to completion of the project, including full technical specification  and regular site visits from Evode Bostik, specialists in adhesive and grout materials, to monitor specification tolerances.
